Are they heavy?
No. Most of what makes a hoop uncomfortable is weight at the lobe, and there is very little here for their size.
What are the posts made of?
Stainless steel rather than brass, so a worn finish never exposes copper. The supplier’s SGS report records nickel release below detection, and cadmium and lead not detected, against European REACH limits.

That mark comes from copper in a brass base reacting with sweat and soap. There is no brass here: the core is stainless steel under an 18K gold PVD finish.

Yes. The base is stainless steel, which does not rust or tarnish, and the gold is applied by PVD rather than electroplating. Every plated finish wears in time, which is what the trade promise covers: if it fades, we’ll trade.
